Exercise Routine
I am almost 6-months postop and my weight loss has started to slow.
My surgeon told me that the weight loss would slow down considerably around 6-months postop, so I would need to start exercising at that point.
I haven't really gone out of my way to exercise, to this point. So, I am wondering what your exercise routine is like. What exercises do you do? How often?

Years ago Kathy Smith put out a video called "Lift weights to Loose Weight" It is 15 minutes a day or 30 minutes every other day. All you need is a set of hand weights. She also did a corresponding book to go along with it. There are lots of books and videos that show you how to do strength training with hand weights and your own body weights. My personal trainer at the gym showed me how to do sit ups with a medicine ball which I love doing.
It is important to have regular exercise as part of your life especially in the maintenance phase. In order to keep doing it, you need to find things you enjoy.
I have several things I do. I have an at home gym set up in my basement so I workout at home too.
I run, speed walk, hike, do yoga, P90X, and every now and then I'll pop in a DVD and do something else like yoga booty ballet.
I have to mix it up or I get bored, but I do like all the exercises that I do. Also add activity to your daily life like parking in the back of a parking lot and take the stairs. All those things add up!
