Or does everyone's stomach make this strange noises since surgery?? If I eat it makes noises, if I'm not eating it's making noises... it's so strange I have no idea what it means!!! Not hunger noises either, maybe gas?

It's not really your stomach making noises, it is your intestines.  It does get much better down the road, but I still (4.5 years later) make more noise than I did pre-op.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

It's horrible, I could be sitting in a meeting or at an appointment, usually when it's quiet is when it's the most embarrassing!!!! I'm only 2 months out and it's getting really annoying!!! People look at me strange all the time lol!

I don't think it is my intestines, but rather my stomach gurgling. I feel it in my pouch.

Your pouch is so small that there is not much muscle to use to contract (which would be required for your pouch to make any noise at all), and your pouch is empty most of the time, so about the only time your actual pouch could make noise is if some food is making noise as it passes through the stoma.  Your intestine, including up high where it has been rerouted and attached to the stoma, ROUTINELY contracts, however -- it is how the food gets moved along the intestinal tract.

It gets less loud and less frequent as time passes, but there really isn't anything you can do about it.

You'll get used to it.

LOL!  Love the previous post of...you'll get use to it.  I mean, that is really the only option, too!  But yes, I make so much noise!  It is better now though.  In the beginning it could be embarassing.  Fortunately I'm a teacher and the kids are MUCH louder than my stomach!

It really is better than the other type of gas. Yes?
