Yeah Dori

12 weeks and 32 pounds for me and I am super happy -- the clothes are telling me the "real" story.  Just bought size 16 jeans for New Years Eve AND a super cute top size 12 (I think it runs a tad big - lol)

And I havn't been on the scale in 10 days (will check before I head out to the party)
Starting weight (12/10) - 346; Surgery day weight (10/11) - 282.4

I was at 6wks with an 11 lb loss... I stopped weighing except at my surgeon's office ****il my 4mth mark when I had a little more self control - I weigh every 4 weeks with the fitness trainer. At 6mths I'll go to 3 weeks, a year 2wks).
It'll come.. your job is to work your surgeon's plan.

I had someone tell me today gosh you have lost so slow you have only lost 97 pounds in 10 months. I was shocked and said yeah I have lost 97 pounds. That's huge. I went from a size 26 to a size 12. Really if this is a slow loser in fine with that. We all loss at our own pace I just wish people would see that.

As long as the scale is going in the right direction, then there is no reason to panic. Comparing yourself to others will only upset and discourage you!!!! Just remember your vitamins and protein and keep active.

I was a slow loser and stalled a lot, but didn't give up and still met my goal before my 1 year.

It seems to me, after reading all the above posting of how much one has lost...that weight loss averages about 10 pounds a month. Would one agree?

Perhaps, but it really does depend on how much you have to lose to begin with and what stage you are at (the rate of loss during month 3 will be MUCH different than the rate of loss in month 9)... and since weight loss is almost never linear, even for one individual, "average" is a pretty useless concept.
