Happy New Year!
So I will be three months out on Jan 4 and  realize that I should have began working out a long time ago. However, procrastinator that I am, i did not. So today I began the Couch to 5k program. I am hoping this will get me motivated to start an exercise regime. I know that surgery is just a tool and that i have do this for myself.
Any other workout suggestions?

I think Leslie Sansone would be a great start.  She has 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 miles that you can do indoors.  Each mile is about 15 minutes plus 3-4 minutes for a cool down.  I used her before surgery and lost about 80 pounds.  Its low impact and easy on your joints.

couch to 5k is a wonderful program. I loved it and now can run 3-5 miles without stopping.
I'm going to now try doing P90X

I am 10 months out and just now getting started.  So I think you are doing awesome.  I used Leslie Sansone in the past and alos found it to be a good start.  Do you have a Wii?  Lost of stuff to do with it.

I'm just starting out as well - I figured I'd give myself some time to get into a routine post surgery, and now that I can consistantly get my food and fluids in, I'll start hitting the treadmill at work as soon as I get back on Tuesday.  I'm almost excited!

I've looked at the C25K as well - I'll have to look at it a little harder.  I've also heard good things about the Zumba game for the Wii or XBox.  I'm thinking of trying something fun like that - maybe it'll keep me motivated and mix up the days I can't get to the gym.

Zumba is AMAZING!! I love it! I also do the c25k and running for me burns a little more calories than zumba, but it is SO fun, it feels like I am there for 5 minutes
