Long time no see! My BEFORE/AFTER picture
Hi all - after I was talking to my friend tonight, who is having a RNY next week, I told her coming to this site was a must. Then I realized I hadn't been here forever - so I wanted to stop in and fill you in on my progress. I am having my panniculectomy and abdominoplasty tomorrow. My RNY was March 30, 2010. I wanted to get down to 140 pounds, and that last 20 pounds is HARD!! But my doctor is very pleased with my results, and I am too -- just look older with all the wrinkles now. I slipped into size 12 jeans today for the first time. I do have problems -- ongoing. I have diverticulosis, and have had a few very painful episodes there.I also have ulcers that flare up if I don't take my Previcid and Carafate religiously.
I have a list of foods I can eat. NOT a list of foods I can't eat! The first one is shorter! Everything bothers me. A year ago I could eat bread (post-op)- now I can't. Not at all. Can't eat ice cream, yogurt or milk, cold water still hurts. No grease, no chocolate, no whipped cream. But this is all good, I know. And all it took was one test on each! I violently dumped only one time, and that was on corned beef hash w/egg. I learned by "Eat now - pay later" -- and now I eat only meat, vegetables, and cheese. In fact, it's all I can eat - without stomach upset.
I've lost four pounds since this picture was taken.

Hi KerryJean. It's been a long time! Sorry about all the problems you've been having, but glad you are doing well and are happy. You look great! Good luck on your plastics.
