Standing in the shower this morning i was deep in thought...lol

Some things that have changed for me in the last 5 months....
1.  I can lean down and shave my legs now
2.  I realized whilest exercising on the stationary bike yesterday that i can hold both of the handles by my seat in my hands..couldn't do that before.
3.  I can wear my husbands shirts.
4.  I can't use my cpap in its current pressure level as there is to much pressure now.
5.  My husband compliments me now.
6.  My kids compliment me now.
7.  My seatbelt no longer locks...grrr that would irritate me before.
8.  i can walk on the treadmill at a 2 incline (never ever done that before) and a 3.5 and i am still not winded and my heart beat is low..this means i need to run to keep my heartbeat up..
9.  I have knees.
10. i have ribs and other bones in my body.
11.  My license is lying to people...i am actually 20 lbs less than what it says.
12.  I have energy now.  Even without using my cpap.
13.  I am thankful of my years of Weigh****chers because altho i didn't keep the weight off i really learned a lot about food and how to make it.
14.  I now know i can control the food i put into my body with lots of self talk.
15.  I really don't need to drink soda anymore and real sugar is to sweet for me.
16.  i can swallow the healthy choice generic centrums from Sams Club.

There is so much more but this is a good starter... now its your turn..lol

 I have learned...

I am "tiny", always thought I was "big bones".....not the case
If I take my vitamins I feel much better...imagine that
I don't need as much sleep
I can walk up stairs and hills and not get winded
I can pick up a size 6 and know it will fit with out trying it on
I might have had surgery to lose weight, but I still get to choose what goes in my mouth, I can make good choices and I can make bad ones, but it is all up to me.  I have control.
To live with stalls and times of weight gain and not freak out and think "i'll never lose again"
To love myself for who I am inside, not just the outside.
My friends and boyfriend are true because my WL has had no effect on any of those relationships, they loved me at 256 and they love me at 150

There is so much more to learn

And just you wait!  The list goes on and on as time goes by!

Some things I've done/realized since goal:

My jeans are size 6 or 8.  I was never that small in my entire life.
I can cross my legs
I can wear regular boots now
I can wear high heels again and do almost every day
I can buy clothes at any store
I can hike 20 miles in one day
I can run!  and I love it!
I can do P90X, P90X+ and P90X2 (just got that for Christmas)
I have "lady guns"!
I am healthy, and I no longer have aches and pains.  I spring out of the bed everyday!
I don't have to stress about the size of the seat when I fly
I no longer scan a room to see if I'm the fattest one there
I don't have to sit at a table because I may not fit in a booth
My hair has all grown back and is thicker than ever!

Most importantly, I'm not consumed by thoughts of how fat I am every hour of every day.  I no longer think about food all day, I just eat to live and exercise daily.  It is my normal life now.

Wow Kim!  Is that what I have to look forward to?!

I am one month out and all I can think about is food..  I weigh 308, so I am constantly dealing with issues around my weight.  I can't wait until my list looks like yours!  Thank you for posting, I am inspired and encouraged!

That is awesome!

I'm 188 now and I still feel like I'm huge, though six years ago I would have considered this weight to be perfectly acceptable. But here's what I've learned:

1. Losing lots of weight really does help clear up your skin. Maybe it's because I'm not eating greasy stuff anymore or my hormone levels are better, but I don't have a bad pizza face anymore.
2. I can cross my legs with no problems. I often sit cross-legged in my living room chair, which would have been ridiculous before because I'd have to slide into place.
3. My driver's license is also lying, though I got it redone two months ago. It's still lying. Also, the ladies at the YMCA questioned my membership card the other day because I don't look like 294-pound Cheryl anymore.
4. When I make my family food, we end up with lots of leftovers since I can't eat any of it. Before we'd rarely have leftovers, and if we did, they wouldn't last long because I'd eat them within 24 hours anyway.
5. I never knew how hard my mattress was until I lost so much of my natural padding. Now my hip bones jut into the mattress, and it's not that comfortable.
6. My husband hugged me last night and spent about two minutes fondling my backbone and back ribs. He'd never really felt them before.

I was only about 2-3 weeks out, when someone held a door for me, so I jogged the 5-10 yards, and when I went through the door, I exclaimed to myself, "OMG! I'm not winded!" I couldn't believe it!

Lot of other tiny things keeps popping up. I still don't like going up or down stairs, but when I do, the impact doesn't hurt my heels like it used to.
