ugh
So today I decided to try a new protein powder because for some reason, my Syntrax chocolate truffle just doesn't taste as yummy as it did a few weeks ago. So i took some people's advice, both from a few friends and online reviews, and I bought Isopure Dutch chocolate. Everyone said it tastes like chocolate milk, so I was really looking forward to trying it. Well after shelling out 50 bucks for a 2 lb tub, I HATE IT!!! It doesn't taste like chocolate to me at all! I tried adding some splenda and sf chocolate syrup to it and I still didn't like it. I just wish I could find a protein powder that I reallly actually like instead of just one that I can tolerate. Thank goodness Vitamin Shoppe will let me return it for store credit, I just don't know what to exchange it for lol. Has anyone tried Designer Whey powder? Any suggestions for things they may have at Vitamin Shoppe? Thanks for reading my rant lol. I'm sure almost everyone has had the same experience when trying to find a good protein powder.
I just posted a little bit ago about something we tried at our house today. I bought some bariatric advantage orange protein powder mix. 8 ounces of water, 2 scoops of the mix (or one serving envelope**** and a few tablespoons of half and half. It is awesome, like a dream sicle! Very creamy and refreshing. We have also bought designer whey from GNC and like it. The salesperson there advised us to buy this one GNC protein powder that was a "finer" blend and it is much smoother than some of the other basic wheys.
Hope this helps a little and hope you are able to get store credit! It is so expensive and not fun to keep if you hate it!

Unfortunately, as you have discovered, even if a bunch of people like a particular protein powder, YOU may hate it... So recommendations are actually kind of useless. Your best bet is to get samples to try first so you will know whether or not YOU like it before you buy it.
