I was really wanting to know what everybody does for exercises to get rid of the unwanted bat wings and the ones on the thighs, I am only down 33pds but am starting to see them starting and I DON"T want them! I want to do all that I can exercise wise before I have to consider surgery in the next yr or two! HELP!!!

I haven't had surgery yet but went from 313 to 240 on. Y own and got the excess skin in my thigh area and arms. My arms I toned up w weights but still had excess hanging skin. I don't believe we can do much but tone up the areas. I have resigned myself to the fact that plastics might be in my future BUT if it comes to that I will have a skinny toned body under theft when it is gone. Also my mom told me when she lost from a size 18 to a 6 she swears by swimming that she never had excess skin. Mind you she was young though I think the younger you are the more likely you won't have that much excess skin. Good luck!

There are no exercises that fix extra skin. You grow extra skin when you gain, but you still have it when you lose.

My weight loss has been gradual and it may be helping to avoid some of the extra skin problems. Actually, I really don't know but I work hard on the weight equipment and bikes at the gym and only have issues with my arms. My neck is tight, my legs are a little wrinkled but not worth plastic surgery. If anything I'd like to have the bags under my eyes removed.

I talked to my doctor last Friday about my arms.  He called it "bat wing deformity"  He said it about 20 times over the course of my visit.  I think I don't like him any more.  But he said surgery was the only way to get rid of it.

You guys!!!! I am only a little of a third of the way through and already I got bat wings, turkey neck, and wrinkly thighs and I've been losing sloooowly.  Hell I'm only 45 and my I'm starting to look like my 74 year old mother!  And yes....I go to the gym and do strength training!  I am gonna need a serious plasic surgery fund.

I have been working out for most of my adult life but never got thin. I never thought it would happen to me!

I'm right there with ya. My bat wings (we call them BINGO wings)...are not TOO bad...but I'm 33.

My thighs however...they have this collection of skin that will ensure I wear a skirt style bathing suit no matter how thin I am this summer.

I have lost SLOWLY and do those leg lift things ALL the time. No luck.

God God , you guys are all so young--I'll be 67 in June and already have loose skin--I'm probably going to look HORRIBLE by the time I lose my excess weight !! I guess I'll have to be content to be healthy--NOT sexy LOL !!

I'm only down 35 lbs and I'm 30. I don't have flabby skin....yet...but I've been working on some basic yoga poses and such via my Wii Fit. I think if I held weights as I did the poses it would help.

I fear the bat wings! LoL
