Totally normal!
It is exciting and nerve- wracking. A big step to a new life!  You dont have to get over your feelings, they are a normal part of the process. Talk about it, prepare, educate yourself, that's my advice.

All the best!

You are both feeling things that are beyond normal - I have mixed feeling up until the second they wheeled me in, but I think at that time I was so excited. It is natural to be nervous, if you were not I would be worried. I wrote about my experience if you would like to read it HERE.
Good Luck to you both and keep your eye on the prize !!

I was reading, and seeing the pictures. They let you wear nail polish?! I wanted to get my toes done prior to this surgery and they told me now lol. Said my fingers had to be free of nail polish.. :\

i know that is not totally important lol i just thought id ask..

Yep, I had to remove it all too right after my beautiful pedicure.   But the nurse indicated even with all the exotic machines and things, sometimes they can catch a problem by looking at the beds of your nails.

So I guess I preferred them to have every opportunity to find a problem.

Good luck with your surgery.  It is an amazing tool.

It is very normal to be nervous, worried, and scared. Just try to do things to keep your mind busy such as getting your house in order. Cook some meals for the family, do some laundry, and clean up a bit so that you don't have to worry about that once you get home. I had my surgery 7 days ago and I feel great. I had pain that first night and half of the next day but besides that I have been fine.

You are going to do great. Best wishes to you and praying for you to have a speedy recovery.

Yes, it was the laprascopic rny. It wasn't really that scary going inside of the Operating room because I told them I was a bit nervous and they gave me something to calm me down before they took me into surgery.
