gym?
I started walking immediately after surgery, and by 4 weeks, my doc OKed me to run and lift weights. I do the elliptical and lift weights 3 times per week. I think it really helped with my weight, and excess skin.
Your surgeon's office should have a plan for progression for foods. Keep to that plan, and don't try to ru**** Also remember, some folks can tolerate raw veggies much earlier than some others. I happen to be one of those who has progressed very slowly. You'll see on this forum that some folks can tolerate caffeine etc, but alas, I cannot tolerate that either, so there can be a great difference from person to person.

I am at 5 weeks now and have been told going to the gym is okay. My doc wants me to start out doing something easy like swimming and the eliptical. Lifting 5-pound weights is okay too. Its important to walk everyday as well. I'm in the process of looking for a gym so i'll be starting soon.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I was cleared to walk the day I got home from surgery. Didn't feel like it for another day or 2 because of fatigue. I went back to the gym after my 10day post op, for light duty, easy reps only. At 6wks I was back to working out normally.
Lettuce and other leafy greens gave me horrible painful, agonizing gas early out.... follow your surgeon's plan and keep some GasX strips handy
