Spanx (how to chose the right one)

I had RNY on 5/7/2008 - I have a hanging tummy below my belly button. Since I am flat chested it's difficult to find clothes that match the bottom half of my belly with the upper half. I am considering Spanx. But, I wanted to know what works best. I don't want it to roll down every time I sit. Which has been a problem in the past with other shape wear I have purchased. I wear a size 10-14 depending on the maker. Big issue for me in pants is (what looks like, camel toe) (TMI SORRY!) It's just that my belly hangs low & squeezes into the area above my peepee which then makes it look horrible. Any suggestions?  I have about 20-25lbs to lose still. I want to be able to wear clothes that fit but don't show my jiggle & make believe camel toe!

I dont have an answer, but I've heard good things and have been considering Spanx for myself since last year. Look forward to seeing what everyone recommends. I was thinking the one that allows you to use your own bra, it has straps but then I was a fraid I'd have a bulge/roll look on each side of my back from the loose stuff there,

I LOVE SPANX,  when my son got marries i went to Von Maur to get fit for  a bra and Spanx, she was wonderful, knew just what i was looking for, even had me put my clothes back on to make sure it was the look i was looking for, , they are tricky to get into, i use powder so they glide on, good luck, Denise

I love my spanx... I use the Simplicity Open bust mid thigh bodysuit... It covers it all... lol... I do sometimes have to undress in the restroom at work to go potty but its worth it... I am having to invest in a new one because my medium is not as compressing the more weigh I lose but its totally worth the investment :)

I've used spanx all the time. They are AMAZING!! The key to them not rolling though is getting the correct size.  If it fits you correctly it should never roll. I have just the shorts and i also have one that is full body but you can wear your own bra.  Both work great and there are no bra line fat visible that i noticed.  Downfall as stated above is if you wear the full body one is that taking it off means stripping off your clothes. hahaha

Not sure if you have a Nordstrom where you live but that is where I got fitted for mine.

Thanks for reply. I am going to have to go into Nordstroms (I think there is one a few cities away in San Francisco) and give it a go. Thanks again!

I bought what is called "Assets by Sara Brinkley"  it is alot cheaper than the "Spanx" brand by her
and you can get them at Target.  I actually prefer it to the real spanx.

I like the camisole ones the best that come down to the top of my thigh since that's easier to pee in and it doesn't roll down ever.  I get mine at walmart--the sweet nothings brand--they don't have the tight stuff over the bra area so they don't flatten your chest more.
