The RUNS! (Your thoughts)

Ok well that should be the runners...
or walkers.  If you say you Jog you probably run.

There are probably more than a few people looking to start their Fitness goal and a few things have happened over the past week to get me thinking about this.

Why do we run or rather why do you run?
Why do you enter races, ok yes a 5K is a race it doesn't matter if you are in it for the finish or you want to set a PR or have a shot at an age group place?
What do you get out of running?
Do you enjoy it?
Where do you run
What is your favorite time to run.

Why do we run or rather why do you run?
I am a mom of 4 kids I find the time to run gives me the peace and quiet I so need. I love to just be out on a run all alone and doing something for me. It is peaceful!

Why do you enter races, ok yes a 5K is a race it doesn't matter if you are in it for the finish or you want to set a PR or have a shot at an age group place?
Just seeing my kids knowing mommy accomplished something she set out to do and did it. It is a life lesson. No personal goal records YET but that day is coming!

What do you get out of running?
I like the friendships I have made along the many miles I have trained. I joined a running group and they are fantastic and offer encouragement and feedback on my questions. I mostly get a feeling of I am alive and I can do this no matter if I am going as slow as a turtle at this very moment I am moving!

Do you enjoy it?
I love it never thought I would say that but I LOVE TO RUN!

Where do you run
We have a trail here that I love to run on. I also do it on the treadmill in the gym and at the track by our gym. I run wherever I can!

What is your favorite time to run.
I usually run between 9-11 am and I put my son in the childcare at the gym and take off. The childcare is great you can leave to go to trails and as long as you have your cell on you they don't care if you leave the site. You can be gone for 2 hours it is great!

I thought you were going to ask about "THE" runs..... anywho...

Why do we run or rather why do you run?  Started out as simple convenience.  I bought a treadmill, put it in a place where I couldn't ignore it, and mandated that I get on it 30 minutes a day.  That way, the weather wasn't a problem and I didn't even have to leave the house.  I needed as few excuses as possible.
Why do you enter races, ok yes a 5K is a race it doesn't matter if you are in it for the finish or you want to set a PR or have a shot at an age group place?  Crossing the finish line is a win!
What do you get out of running?  I zone out.  I can let go of frustrations and just concentrate on movement & music.
Do you enjoy it?  It's not as fun as lying on the sofa, but yes, I have LEARNED to enjoy it.
Where do you run  Usually, still the treadmill.  I have completed 2 races - both at paces much faster than I can do on the treadmill.
What is your favorite time to run.  I prefer morning, but usually, it ends up being afternoon or early evening.  It's on my adgenda for tonight!
