How is it possible to get a decent calorie intake?

I know I shouldn't complain, but I just want to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong.  I just started a food tracker and for the past two days I've BARELY reached 500 calories yesterday and today it was less than that.  I can't imagine eating MORE, I'm already finding it hard to coordinate drinking and eating...stop drinking before meals, don't drink after meals....seems there isn't much time left between.

Is this normal in the honeymoon period?

i found it very overwhelming at first. as i was able to introduce more fruits and veggies into my diet, the calorie aspect kinda took care of itself. although some days are tricker then others. after dinner tonight i had only had 700 calories.

It's normal, and as you increase the types of food you eat then you also increase the calories.  I can put away some calories if I let myself.

i must be eating too much then bc i am only 3 weeks out and I have been eating 700-850 calories since the start of week 2. i look at my tracker and all the foods (mostly protein drinks) seem nutritionally sound though. i guess everyone is different.

you will eventually find yourself able to get over 1000 calories regularly...and theres nothing wrong with that, especially if you are active

I found that for 3 weeks I did not lose any weight. I believe it was because I was not eating enough calories each day. Now I try to eat a small avocado everyday which has lots of the "good" fat and 250 calories and I am losing again! A small avocado packs in a lot of calories for the size!

Yep. Perfectly normal. Just keep working on it. It gets easier, I promise!!

Did your doctor/nut give you any guidelines as to calorie and/or protein consumption per day?

Until my 3 month appointment I was getting less than 500 calories a day. Since then I average just under 670 calories per day.

I went through the same thing... it is tough at the beginning and I didn't think it would ever be possible - but it will be... just keep trying your best and before you know it things will all fall into place. I got 400-600 calories for the first few months. I do 1200-1400 now, about a year out, and get all of my protein and water. Try not to stress about it.
