It's National Donut Day...
...just how do we counter THAT?
I'll freely admit that my resistance to any of the following is weak, at best:
French Crullers (chocolate frosted)
Eclairs
Boston Creams
Danish (any variety)
Apple Fritters
The regular donut (glazed, frosted - especially with chocolate, plain)
...and badly as I would like to eat one, in my head there is my own voice telling me that the aftermath is just not worth it...

I don't miss those sugar-packed, all white flour, no nutritional value, fried pieces of crap...well, sometimes I miss them ( or other things) but it's not worth it and the fact that we had to have major surgery to deal with all of our bad dietary choices helps me to remember that. I try to focus on the fact that loving these foods is killing us since 35% of America is obese and 35% more is overweight. So, maybe we need to say "NO" to the advertisers who promote the celebration of crap food to begin with? It makes obesity and poor food choice socially acceptable. Say "no" to donuts day. That's what this day will be for us!!! :D lol

I never met a donut I didn't like! Here's the problem: It was us that couldn't stop at one donut. No shame in enjoying things but most of us couldnt stop at one. You sound really hostile towards donuts.
Was there a certain donut that hurt you in your past?

Damn near every single one, Jane...damn near every single one...but today, to every donut, I'm Travis Bickle...
