Ok people should know after the bean thread I would be starting this!

1) Do you suffer more after surgery than you did before surgery?

2) Do you try to hide them?

3) When do they hit the most?

Come on wimmens you so know ya like to bust the stinky!

More.  Oh way way way way way way more.

It depends on where I am or when it is.  At home, no.  Stores, etc - no.  At work in meetings - yes.  Yoga class - no, as long as they are silent ones.  It's hard to hold it in in those poses!

Usually evening, although it could be anytime if I partake of the starchy carbs.  That and gum do me in the worst way.

yup, way more! If I am at home, I do not try to hide them, but out, YES I totally hold it in. I burp while eating at home because then it feels better for some reason.... and the gas mostly hits maybe 30 min or so after eating, not ALWAYS, but it does way more often then before...

Depends on what I eat. Beans and starchy carbs = yes. A good mix of stuff = no more than before surgery but still I "tooted" my fair share.

I never try to hide them. Me and my daughters have a running contest going to see who can gas us out of the car fastest! What, you don't do that?

No particular time.

1) Do you suffer more after surgery than you did before surgery?
Yeah, but not a whole lot. I don't have downwardly mobile gas. My gas always comes in the form of burping when I'm full.

2) Do you try to hide them?
Well, it's usually just me, so no. But if I'm in company, yes, I do.  Or I'll be sure to excuse myself.

3) When do they hit the most?
I get a string of mild burpiness after a big meal, but the only time gas really hits hard is when I've had too many sugar alcohols.  Holy cow, I treated myself to some sugarfree gourmet truffles a couple days ago, and was sick as a DOG. Not only did the gas move south, but it put me on the throne for the entire evening. Not fun.

Yes, way more! At home or with immediate family, I do not try to stop it, but at work or out and about anywhere yes I try to hold them in...

It will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. It requires sacrifice. There will be temptation. But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it's WORTH IT! (Author Unknown). I feel this sums up my ongoing journey to a healthier me!

Way more for me. I get gas about evey morning when I wake up, loud and long. I just blame the dog. Other times about the same as before. I get gas at the gym in the morning too, often the gym is empty so I can let fly and hope no one walks in right after.

1.) I feel like it is a lot more...I know they smell worse.

2.) At work I do.  In public if I can.  But, I have the "surprise" ones more often now.  You know just strolling along when suddenly and without warning...and they are always loud.

At home?  Hah! And miss my husband complaining about how women's farts smell worse than men's?  Never!

3.) After a lot of simple carbs or a lot of artificial sweetener.

1. Yes, to the infinite power.
2. In public, yes. At home, no. Take that, DH, for all the years you gassed me out.
3. Too many simple carbs=rumbly tummy. Afternoons and evenings mostly.
