Yes, I have it-since around 18 months post surgery.

Mine is easily controlled with diet and frequent meals

Not really a big issue.  I've learned to carry food with me when I know I need to eat.

Got it.  It started app 18 months post op. Gets worse with time - the longer I am from RNY - the worse it gets.  Now I can even get it from fruits that were once "safe" foods.

I'm really glad fruit doesn't cause problems for me.

I know. It sucks.  Last year - I had no problem with some fruits.
This year - 1 cup of blueberries even when I followed that with 3 poached eggs + slice of ham  - brought my BS down to 44... (that what my meter showed when I  measured it while already eating yogurt)
I can have some fruits - but only immediately with or after a meal - and no more than 1/2 serving... But the meal better has some fat and proteins...

Most times mine is not related to what I eat. I dont get it very often, but when I do--wow. Most times I get it in the morning, about an hour after I eat. This morning was pretty bad. I ended up shoving a cheesestick in my mouth, hoping that I could get by with eating something with protein in it at least, but that did not work. I ate a banana and that stopped it. It doesnt seem to matter what I eat, I will get it after eating greek yogurt and fruit or after eating a whole grain sandwich thin with peanut butter. It seems very random.

What you describe is not random IMO - fruit and yogurt have sugar - I get RH when I eat that - specially in the morning. Same with any bread. It almost no matter when I put on it - my body turns the carbs in the bread into sugar - and later I crash.  I can have same piece of bread after r- with dinner - later in the day and be fine... but mornings - any carbs seams trouble for me.
I can have Greek yogurt - but It needs to be full fat Greek yogurt - then I can add some protein powder and some fruit. But not the FF Greek yogurt.

There are rules - there are crazy rules - but it is not random... When it started - I also felt it was random, but now I see the pattern.
ie.
FF Greek yogurt + fruit - RH
Full Fat Greek yogurt with fruit - in the morning - RH, but when I add protein powder and have that late afternoon - no RH. Or if I add Flax meal - fine.  (but not in the morning)

In teh past - a 1 tsp of natural (no sugar added, no fat removed) PB or almond butter would do the trick for me. I used to get that first thing in am. Then I could drink coffee (with unsweet coconut or almond milk)

I have it also. It started after about 2 yrs post op. It happens when i eat carbs with no protein. I get dizzy, shaky and confused. It usually goes away after i eat some protein.

I thought I was I was going to luck out and not get it but a few months ago I started feeling really strange.  Really shaky and couldn't think straight.  I kind of remembered hearing that might be symptoms of RH so I went looking for my glucose meter, which wasn't easy at that point.  I think I ate something, can't remember.  Anyway, after I found the meter, strips and lancets and finally checked it, it was like 60, not terrible but like I said I had just ate something.  It started happening pretty regularly so I kept things handy and started making sure I ate every few hours.  I found a protein bar was good to help raise my blood sugar but in a pinch even coffee with lots of milk has helped.  The scariest was when I was on the freeway and I started feeling very shaky and spacy.  My daughter was with me and she got nervous and of course I didn't have anything with me.  I pulled off the freeway and found a store and bought a hard boiled egg and some cheese and I was fine.
One time I checked my blood sugar and it was in the 20's!  That really scared my boyfriend.  He thought I should go to the ER but I was fine after a while after eating.
Anyway, all of the sudden, as quickly as it came on, it stopped happening.  I haven't had it happen in a few months.  I still eat every few hours and I always have a protein bar in my purse but so far it hasn't been a problem again even when I have forgotten to eat for several hours.

I have a mild case of RH that developed after RNY.  It started after I was a year out (but I don't remember exactly when... it has been too long), and it is easily controlled by making sure that every meal/snack has both protein and carbs.

Far more problematic for me, though, is plain old ordinary hypoglycemia. If I go too long between meals, my blood sugar (apparently) drops too low and I get very shaky and lightheaded (and, strangely, often feel cold or even kind of clammy).  If I do not eat right away, I then get nauseous, weak, and irritable, and I have trouble focusing and thinking clearly.

I'm 9 years out and started having RH symptoms 3 or 4 years after surgery.  Most of the time I can pinpoint what caused the spike (and subsequent drop) and if I eat something I can get it to stop.  I usually have something in my purse to eat (a Hershey Kiss, bite size Snickers, etc.).  Sometimes I'll have eaten something that doesn't cause me to feel the dumping symptoms - there's a diner that my family meets at every Saturday morning for breakfast and I can't eat anything there because I'll have a BS drop a couple of hours after eating.  Last week, met a friend for lunch, had a grilled tuna sandwich (no cheese) and a diet Coke, my usual drink.  Felt fine after eating.  About two hours later, was walking around a store and started to feel the familiar shaky feeling of a blood sugar drop.  All I could find in my purse was a hard Werther's type candy so popped it in and headed for the snack/candy section of the store, planning on finding something more substantial to open, eat, and pay for, of course.  By the time I got to the right section (I think), I was quite dizzy and unable to focus on any packages.  In a matter of 30 seconds or so, everything in my field of vision was bouncing around, and my head was moving uncontrollably.  Then my arms started jerking - tried to grab the handle of the shopping cart.  The next thing I knew, I woke up on the floor with paramedics around me, asking questions, trying to rouse me.  I was barely conscious for the ambulance ride to the hospital.  Had a large bump on the back of my head, had bitten my tongue badly, and had lost bladder control.  I had evidently had a low enough sugar that I had a seizure, in a store.  My BS was 90 in the ambulance, but it had evidently come up from the piece of candy that had fortunately melted and stuck to my teeth rather than choking on it.  Spent 23 hours in the hospital, going through a seizure workup, with negative results.  So, am seeing my primary doctor tomorrow, am really nervous and concerned that this seizure may make me more predisposed to future problems.
