Hey It's Friday (Yeah)! What's on Your Plate Today?

Thought I get the thread started. Doing the happy dance because it's a Friday (which is always a good thing in my book), the weather is almost summer perfect, and I'm running a 5K tomorrow!

B: hard boiled eggs/turkey sausage/watermelon
L: turkey/avocado pita/edamame/watermelon
S: string cheese/turkey pepperoni
D: Taco Casserole/veggies
S: greek yogurt and blueberry parfait

Okay, so I'm so totally not a touchy feely kind of gal (really, did you doubt that?), but yesterday as I was lying in Savasana (final relaxation pose in yoga) the teacher whom I really enjoy her teaching style (quiet, peaceful, etc), read a quote (and I'm totally stealing it here to post):

"wellness isn't about deprivation and it's not about perfection. It is about pointing yourself in the direction of growth, training yourself to get comfortable with your highest potential, and then taking small steps to support that shift. It's about showing up for yourself, day by day, and then one day finding that you've undergone a transformation."

So I got all teary eyed and really had a small epiphany about my journey and where I've been and where I'm going and as Martha would say, "that's a very good thing." Of course, it may have just been the effects of a full moon too (~grin~). So anyway, I'm showing up today and for each day of the rest of my life and living it transformed....

Happy Friday, y'all!

I love your new avie! Go ahead with your beautiful self!

Today I did something I haven't done in over a decade.

I rode the BUS to work.

Yes...shocking :) But it was sort of an NSV. The bus, of course, was packed. There were only a few seats that were between other people. As a 330 lb. woman I would not have attempted those seats and even if I did, I wouldn't fit. At best I'd cram myself in and the other riders would give me dirty looks. Today, I fit easily with room to spare! Thank you RNY!

Now, for my eating so far you wouldn't think this meant anything to me.

1. Sausage biscuit (needed change for the bus and breakfast. Seemed like a not terrible idea at the time. Meh.)

2. Click Frappe

3. Not sure what's for snack. Maybe just a protein coffee.

4. I'm going to get La Petite Diva for the weekend so we'll probably get something together. Not sure what. In the conflict of the century, Brian McKnight is having a free concert at a local arts festival this evening. I need to make this timing work so we can go. I heart Brian McKnight.

I'll report back when my later day plans solidify a bit more.

S- Fresh Fruit
D- Shrimp Scampi with steamed asparagus and quinoa
S- Possibly some air popped Popcorn?

A lot of water and maybe a Bubble Tea!

Busy at work...

Eats:
- breakfast was Chike protein coffee with skim and ice
- gym at lunch followed by cottage cheese/pistachio pudding mix/pineapple chunks
- no clue on anything else

and um, I passed up a banana split last night adn I have been craving one for months!! but since I promised myself no junk or alcohol till Labor Day, I resisted. GO ME! I did have strawberries and pineapple with whipped cream though.

Be happy.

I just tried the Chike (they sent me samples to review for BF) and...not to spoil the review but...

Wow. They did a good job basically addressing every problem I ever had with water-based protein AND blender bottles all in one fell swoop.

I blew yesterday in extreme insane ways. This morning was pretty high calorie but I think it worked for me.
Met friends at Dennys for breakfast, chatted a while then headed out to work with the trainer. This weekend is a year I have been training with her. We did measurements - I've lost about 83 inches and 150lbs since I started with her (179 or so since started dieting). My body fat % has gone from 55.1% to 24.9%. My trainer said her BF is around 24%!!!
I lost 3lbs since our weigh-in last month. Slowed but not stopped. Now that my mom is settled I need to get ready to head out to my counseling appointment and then out to buy animal feed. I have a training at work 2-4 but other than that the evening is mine.

B - egg whites, turkey bacon, 1/2 banana, wheat pancakes
L - tomato on deli flat (half) w/ splat of mayo
S - tomato slices, cukes
D - ?
S - quest or protein shake

edited - ok, my folks grilled steak, so I had steak, peas and tomatoes for lunch; maybe I will have the previously planned tomato sandwich for dinner

B-something mushy
L-something mushy
D-Something mushy
S-Something mushy

I'm two weeks out. But love this thread. It gives me ideas on what I may have later on in the plan. I want lettuce, arugula to be exact, so badly. That's been my only craving.
