corn beef stew.
SO i have a serious question. and dont pull any "is it in your plan" because thats not what im asking. thank you very much. :) not to mention what i do have for a plan simply says Protein first, then veggies, then carbs -.-
My Grandmother made me a homemade corn beef stew it was my FAVORITE Homemade meal before surgery only have it 2 times a year or so (no cabbage) No salt added (though corn beef is high in salt)
it has:
onion
baby carrots,
baby red skin potatoes Whole
corn beef
black beans
kidney beans
chick peas
What i want to know is Since im on Regular foods now would this be an okay meal for me hold the bread and butter ;)?. and how much should i attempt to eat.
she Removed All of the fat she could from it before and After it cooked down. it was her attempt to treat me. and i would really like to have some so i dont make her feel bad. She didnt tell me she was going to make it till after it was made so yeah :)

If your stomach can handle it why not? You will be surprised how little you will be able to eat though since it sounds kind of heavy. Having surgery doesn't mean "never again for the rest of your life" unless its NSAD's. (spelling?) It means just a little once in a while and 2x a year sounds like once in a while. It's stew not cake.
