I lost 40 lbs. pre-op and I include my start weight prior to that loss. I hit goal 9 months post-op. I'm currently 3 lbs. below goal weight and have maintained a 4 lb flux since mid-May. 138 lbs. lost total- 98 since surgery.

I reached my goal weight 15 months post-op. I went down another 10 pounds over the next 5 months thereafter. I started increasing calories to a maintenance level at 20 months post-op. Actually, if I want, I can still lose weight if I decrease my calorie intake from the current daily intake of 1800 a day.

I am 20 months out and have not reached my personnel goal to lose 140 lbs....I have lost about 125.....I lost really well the first 8 months ( I was walking 6 miles a day) and then my knee went out.   I fell 2 times...took me 9 months to finally have knee replacement surgery.....that was 7 months ago....I am just now feeling like I can start walking for exercise again.  I didn't have an easy recovery and have had other medical problems since knee surgery....have been to drs. And physical therapists 26 times this summer.....but I am on the mend !!
Even though I have not reached my personnel goal,  I am ecstatic to weigh less than 200 lbs and if I stop here and maintain......so be it.  I have maintained this weight for about ten months....I would go through all of this again !!  I weigh less than on my wedding day.
Slow and steady !!!!  Have a Blessed Day !!!!!!

Let's see, I lost the first 100 over the course of about 10 months, maintained that for 2 years because I thought my body was "settled." It turned out that I was just horribly iron and b-12 deficient (no oral supplements would absorb, boo). After I got those taken care of, I had ENERGY finally and could do a lot more exercise. I didn't need naps after class anymore either. So, I lost the last 30 lbs. over the course of the next year and have been around my goal of 150 ever since.

Right now, I am working toward dropping a little bit more weight (5-10 lbs) to be lighter for a race I'm running next month. I can still lose weight when I lean closer to post-op basics, and it is much easier than when I was pre-op.

I stopped losing at about 11 months out at 174.  Thought I was done.  Then, about 4 or 5 months later I rapidly lost another 26.  I am still losing slowly.  I stayed there for a while and now, 2 years out I am losing again.  Slowly now.  I am down to about 135 or so.

My original goal was 142.  Now, I'd like to get back up to about 150ish.

Keeping in mind I was never given a goal weight.

I lost for about 12 months, then stopped.
