I keep seeing P28 pop up a lot. I Googled it and was wondering how you like it. Also I'm only 9 days out of surgery it's way too early for me to try. Around what time in your journey did you try it?

The bread?  I find the texture off -- it's very chewy & heavier than most breads.  My plan allows for whole grain breads and I stick with those.

Like everything else food wise it is a toss up as to what you will like post op.  I'm six months post op so haven't eaten much bread but when I do have decided to stick with thin sliced whole grains that meets my guidelines for sugar and fat content.  The couple of  "special" breads that I tried felt heavy in my pouch and didn't seem to agree with my digestive system.  Thin whole grain breads have worked best for me when I make pizza for lunch.  1/2 of the thin grain buns has very little sugar and fat or calories.  I look at it as a healthy carb.

Someone here said it was like eating a terry cloth.

246 in Dec 2008 before banded 1/28/09 at 215 lbs, band crapped 9/09 at 170 lbs and struggled with it and regained to 203 revised to bypass on 8/1/11 and am very happy.

 That would be me.

It is high protein because they both add whey I believe and it has more gluten - wheat protein. The gluten KILLS me. Ugh! Taste is ok but texture...yikes!

Hahahahaha!  That's too funny.  I have heard also it's similar to eating wet cardboard.

I couldn't do bread for a L O N G time.  Now, I only do it toasted and I use the double fiber wheat.

Early on I used Flat Outs when I wanted a sandwich-either the sandwich thins or the wraps.  Still use the wraps....love em!

It's super dense.  I doubt you'd like it at this stage.
