 for tomorrow morning! Yowza!!

I've never taken a Spinning class before, so is there anything I should know? I'm bringing a bottle of water and currently seeing if I have shorts or capris to wear.

First of all Spin is a class where it is YOUR class. The instructor will tell you turn it up or turn it down you determine how high and how low you want to take the gears. You can build with it as time goes. Same goes with when they are standing or hovering over the bike. I personally thought standing would be so awful it is my favorite position.

My gym has gel seats see if yours does too. They are just a few in our gym but mostly newbies use them. Your butt will be numb for a bit afterwards but it will get used to it to stick with it and if you stop you will have to get your butt used to it all over again. My privates because good friends with the seat LMBO but I have learned to just go to a hover or standing position if I get uncomfortable.

The music should be great focus on one song at a time and have fun. I do wear capri pants and a tank top or tee to the class. Comfy sneakers and if you love it they sell cycling shoes that "lock" your feet into the pedals. It makes your legs lineup the correct way when pedaling. Enjoy it and oh let the instructor know that it is your first class they will monitor you for position and help you if you are doing something that might hurt yourself.

Enjoy I love spin and what it has done for my body shape.

I've only done three so far. Here's what I've learned:

1.) Sit back as far as you can on the seat (almost like you feel like you'll fall off the back). If you don't, your girl parts will get swollen and bruised.

2.) Don't let the first class scare you into not coming again. It does get easier very quickly!

3.) Bring a small hand towel to mop up the sweat from your face and arms.

4.) try to drink a whole bottle of water (or two) durring the class and one after so you don't get dehydrated and get a horrible headache.

5.) If your gym doesn't. Have the gel seats, you can get a pretty nice one at Target for around $15.

6.) Have fun. Take it easy the first time. You're there to learn and work but you don't want to get hurt.

Hope this helps!

Padded bike shorts are better than the padded/gel seats for protecting the girlie parts.

Hope you have fun!!
