WAY OT- Waste of campaigning $$
I moved from Massachusetts to New Hampshire almost a year ago. Now that the crunch is on campaigning for the last minute votes, I can't believe the number of glossy ads I am getting in the mail for MASSACHUSETTS candidates. They are addressed to me at my New Hampshire address. REALLY? What a waste.......I can't vote for you even if I wanted to!!

I can't vote but get bombarded with phone calls every evening as well as the glossy pamplets etc and don't even talk to me about the TV ads ...
If I could vote, I 100% know who I would vote for so it would still be a colossal waste of money!

Ok here is my thing about the people who donate thousands of dollars. Good for you for believing in someone enough to do that BUT I hope that you are donating to your local shelters, schools, and organizations as well. I just don't think even if I had all the money in the world I would donate money like I have read some people donating are doing. I would be giving it to shelters and teachers so they don't have to take money from his or her paycheck to buy school supplies. I think it is all a waste we pretty much know who we are voting for and by this time if you don't you have bigger issues LOL

Well it is the candidates money not ours unless we contributed to them. There are a lot things that are a waste of money and time. I get tons of junk mail each day from places I never go to and business I do not use. But it is their money and the post office needs the revenue, and that keeps people working so I guess it is ok. I just put in the recycle and hope it goes to a good use.

Not only does it sicken me that they waste so much money on ads, but also to see the politicians use Sandy as a campaign opportunity. I would much rather they give money to those who need it than go around and stump for votes. Grrrr
I saw the best picture on FB: It had a huge recycling bin next to the mailbox and a sign directing the mail carrier to deposit all political adds directly in the recycle bin.
And I also think it's ridiculous that candidates leave their signs up long past election day.

At work we play the radio and we are constantly bombarded with ads fore candidates and regardless of anyone's political affiliation every other patient says "I can't wait until this is all over" Seems like no one really wants to listen to them. Do advertisements really make a difference? If the candidate I did not vote for had an ad saying, "I would give everyone named Hannan $10,000 and make there be no taxes and give every college student a new car" I still wouldn't vote for him. I know it is just a competition of lies. Regardless of what ads you are bombarded with I think most people have made up their minds. But I could be wrong.
