Cheese?

Is cheese a bad idea for snacks?  I can get organic sharp cheddar cheese in pretty easily. It was 7 grams of protein for 1 oz and I can easily get that in because it sort of melts. It does have 110 calories in it though. Bad idea?

The Kraft string cheese is also good...8g protein and only 80 calories.

Cheese is a wonderful food for us. A lot of people use the string cheeses as snacks on the go and I use the beef jerky and cheese snack things as a meal or snack. Pepperjack is my fave. Make sure you take a stool softener ot probiotic or you may get stopped up with all this protein we eat.

I've been doing miralax and ended up taking MOM the other night and I felt sick the whole next day. I don't know if it was that or not. Ugh..I didn't go today so we will see what happens!

Most regular cheese has a ton of fat in it. Many of us post RNY are now lactose intolerant. I positively LOVE cheese, but I avoid it. Cheese is now a treat for me only, not a  snack item. I think there has to be a middle road between don't eat anything bad for you and eat anything that pleases you. I also try to exercise as often as possible and the more I do the more I can and the more I enjoy it. Lets the stress of life out with out trying to burry stress with food.

I usually eat cheese everyday. I don't do low fat or fat free either. Fat free taste like cardboard ick.

I have cheese (cheddar, goat, monteray jack, mozerella, etc.) everyday.  I try very hard to limit it to ONE serving a day because it has more fat than most of my other protein sources, but its an easy on-the-go type protein, so I do have it almost daily.

I'm planning to keep it to one serving a day too :) It is so easy to get down for me for some reason!
