Rave: Wendy's chili!

I am in the soft foods phase of my diet and my NUT recommended Wendy's chili and I had my 2 ounces and it was sooooo yummy and satisfying! I can see why everyone gets it.

I know exactly what you mean. I had to rely on Wendy's chili during the soft food stage... it was the only thing that would settle right in my pouch. Sooooo very yummy! It felt good to eat something solid, right? Good Luck!

God bless you because I could never eat it!  :)  I must be a bit of a foodie and Wendy's just never did it for me.  Still and all, congratulations on getting this far!  The best is yet to come!

Karen, I guess we are in the minority on Wendy's chili.  One spoonful and my chest wants to explode.  It tastes like there is a lot of salsa....in fact it tastes like mostly salsa.   I make my own chili and it goes down just fine.  

I either make my own or purchase it from the local diner.  Made a big pot of turkey chili tonight.  Thank God I can freeze it!  :)

I have plain old chili out of a can at home. I buy it by the case at Costco. Cost less and is just as good. Wendy's comes out of a can too. 

Wendy's chili does NOT come out of a can! I used to manage a Wendy's and every night we would take the hamburgers that were precooked and put them in a bucket in the cooler. The next morning we would mix up a fresh batch of chili. The only thing that came out of the can was the tomatoes and tomato sauce and paste.

It is a long process...but well worth the effort.

I didn't think it came from a can.  There are pieces of meat that looks like the broken up burgers.  I just remember more meat in it, years ago.  Tasted good, but I want protein. 

actually wendys chili doesn't, i worked at wendys not even a year ago and we had to make chili all the time. they make it from scratch. :/

I love it too! I stalked it before the surgery and after. They don't have one close so I load up once every couple of weeks.
