Protein Shakes (How many do you consume a day?)

I'm a year and half out, and I started each day with one until lately. Now I add a scoop of  vanilla powder to my morning oatmeal for a nice warm breakfast. I'll probably go back to a shake again when the weather gets warmer. If my numbers are too low I have a smoothie at night made with skim or almond milk, vanilla protein powder, frozen strawberries, and stevia.

Zero in 8+ years.   I think it contributes to my success as I have to strive to eat my protein and therefore don't generally eat white or processed carbs in any great quantities.

I am at 3 shakes a day and I am just over 3 mo. out.  I eat food for dinner and snakes and a shake for B, L and mid afternoon.

Per my dr. instructions.

8 months out and I have 1 a day.  I mix protein powder vanilla, 1 tablespoon of coffee, hazelnut or caramel SF syrup and ice and almond milk.  Fills my need for caffine and adds 30 grams of protein.  For the first 3 months I was only getting approx 30 grams of protein so this brings me up to 60 per day.  If I have trouble getting in protein during the day  I will have a second on later in the day but most days I only have the 1.

16mths and it varies. I don't  "need" shakes for protein, I get way plenty through my food, but I like shakes  *shrug*

Somedays I just have shakes except for a normal sized meal somewhere in the day. Usually breakfast is something quick like a shake.  I have recently started adding a 1/2 tsp or so of instant coffee to my shake and I think I am in love.

I am 5 years out and I mix either vanilla or chocolate protein powder with my morning SF hot chocolate 5 days a week (at work). I can get plenty of protein from my food, but the extra 20g as breakfast means I don't have to actively count protein grams throughout the day. I have been doing this for several years.

I only have an actual protein shake (almost always an Oh Yeah RTD or a Cytomax tangerine protein water) if I don't feel like eating or eating solid food isn't practical. I never found an actual shake that I liked and wasn't willing to spend a lot of time making protein concoctions... it was easier (and tastier) to just EAT the protein.

I usually am at 2 but I have extremely high protein limits some days are in the 200gram day when training. When I am not training as I haven't been because of the auto accident I have 1 for breakfast and maybe occasionally 1 at night as a treat.

If you can meet your goals with food why drink them? Dense food will keep you full longer.
