Crazy End of World Question

I know this is a crazy question.  But have any of you planned for the possible end of the world on Friday?  I mean have you bought and stocked up on things like food, water and vitamins?  Deep down I really don't believe anything will happen, but a tiny part of me wonders what we, as WLS people who need certain things to stay healthy, would do in a case of a world catastrophe.  If I survived, I can't imagine what I would do if I had limited water, limited if any vitamins, and very limited protein.  It's a thought that has went through my head.

So I went out yesterday and bought some water, bought some more vitamins (with long expiry dates) and some flats of soup.  Call me pathetic, but what if........

I don't buy into it. For many years we have heard that the world was going to end on a certain day. I've watched as people worry and stress and make poor decisions over it.  My theory is IF It is true and happens the world will be over and I'll not be here but will be with God and Jesus Christ in Heaven (which would be awesome!!!!) It's funny I saw a post my 17 year old daughter posted on her facebook page the other day about this same topic. She made me smile with her post. (posted below)

I don't care. If the world does end, good for you for panicking far in advance. I'm going to continue going about my business like a normal human being... And cuddling my cat.

If buying water and vitamins gives you peace of mind then by all means do what you have to do. You are practical in your preparations and not out there stockpiling outrageous items.

This is just my humble opinion. I am no expert.

Nope have not planned for the end of the world on Friday. I believe it is another hoax like 2000 was. My honest opinion is if the end of the world does happen we probably wont survive it anyway so I am not going to stress over the inevitable.

I second this emotion, I can't control it and I can't change it  so  let it be

 

LOL!  Why would you need supplies if it's the end of the world?  You'd be gone...right?

On Saturday I plan to yell out my front door - "He did it!  The doctor has saved us!"  It's all timey-wimey anyway ;) 

If it's the end of the world, doesn't that mean it's the end of the world?  ie, where else will we all be living to use those vitamins and water?

the world is not going to end.  the information has been very misconstrued and it's talking a lot more about spiritual issues then physical world ones.

I wish I was more prepared for any type of emergency... Not the end of the world per say, but what if I had to go a few days without power due to an outage, or what if my basement flooded, or if my car was stranded on side of highway... I do think I should at least start with having a road side kit, some flashlights, and that type of thing.... I should really get on that!
