To this day, hot tea or black coffee push hunger away.

I totally agree with you Kim, as I am drinking tea right now.  Same with coffee in the morning.  I don't know if it's the caffeine or what but it really seems to help.  Jane

I drink coffee in the morning, but haven't been drinking hot beverages after that. I'll start adding some in. Thanks!

I dont think it is weird at all. My hunger, actual hunger, came back after about a week post-op. Not just head hunger but full out hunger.

I noticed more "hunger" at 6 months, 8 months and 10 months.  It definitely felt like these were markers for a progressively bigger pouch over time...but I still don't have a "traditional" hungry feeling post-op.  Instead I get a weak feeling, a bit dizzy and I know that I have to eat something very soon.  Of course, I do have urges to eat that have returned that I did not experience for many months post-op.,,,but the urges aren't really hunger...more in the head hunger zone.    I"m guessing there are time limited metabolic and hormonal changes post-op...perhaps the time limit is linked to eating more calories and carbs...or perhaps just how the surgery works and the return of certain hormones comes inevitably with time.

Glad to hear you had times where you were getting hungry! LOL I'm really thinking I'm fighting some serious head hunger because I have NO physical hunger. I know I'm eating more to help fuel my exercise, so maybe that could be contributing to my "hunger"? Who knows... Haha!
