So this is what happens with you lose 148lbs..excess skin pic
Thank you so much! I always look forward to seeing your updates as well. I do feel like I'm extremely lucky that the skin doesn't cause clothing issues other than with bathing suits and short shorts..however since I have 3 kids I probably don't need to really wear shorts that short...lol. I know your 1 yr is coming up..and I can't wait to see your update!
Yep, I pretty much look the same after 150 lbs... My way of thinking is this: so what if I look like an 80 year old woman underneath my clothes? I look like a smoking hot skinny 33 year old on top of them!!

I know how much courage it takes to post photos! I just posted the other day my "barely dressed" after shot and wanted to 'hide under the covers' as soon as I hit submit, LOL! Here is my skin shot before and after my panniculectomy with belly button being moved as an upgrade..... I'm not 28, I am 55 and the after was taken last month and the before in 2009. I had no muscle tightening and had 5 babies. I am still amazed to have such a flat belly!! I would still take the extra skin over having it full of the former fat though.

lol..yeah..I went to bed as soon as I posted this last night! My BF% is pretty low..and my surgeon said that my muscles are in outstanding shape when she repaired a hernia 2 months ago, so I think I could possibly get away with a panniculectomy and then take care of my thighs/boobs on my dime. You look outstanding!!
I lost 190 pounds and my belly looked SO much worse (and my thighs still do)! Take Martha's before tummy pic, enlarge the panni to about 3 times what hers was (and add a seriously sagging mons with some residual fat and a saggy upper belly to it), and that would come close to what I ended up with. My thighs? Take the excess skin on yours, double it, add some residual fat to the insides, and extend that mess all the way down to the knees. I still look at that every single day. Yuck.
I am not trying to minimize your skin issues... just let you know that it could be MUCH worse.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Thanks for sharing. I might have to do the same as a lesson in self-acceptance and letting go. It's a challenge. I do appreciate my new health but it is hard to be left with the skin. It makes me a little sad for what I did to myself but I'm hoping with time to be able to embrace my body with love and not feel so critical no matter what I look like. Thanks again for helping me to remember that we are all more than our bodies, that we are beautiful no matter what, and that there is freedom in accepting who we are and sharing it with the world. What a nice way to start my day. :)
