How do you deal with a stall on the scale?

I've been experiencing a stall on the scale for the last week.  I'm 2 months post-op and this is my first stall.  It's hard to not get on the scale every morning, and I don't know what is normal for 2 months out.  How long did your stall hang around?  Did you do anything special to move off the stall?  How can I mentally and physically get over this horrid event?  Words of wisdom?

My longest stall was almost 3 months (like 11 weeks). But during that time I lost inches. Take your measurement now, that way when you hit your next stall, you can see what you've lost.

Some people up their calories during their stalls, others change their exercise routine, I just stick to my plan. Everyone is different.

I'm almost two months out too and I haven't lost anything in 2 weeks - in fact I gained two pounds and am right where I was 3 weeks ago.  I haven't done my measurements in a few weeks so not sure if I've lost inches.  I'm just making sure that I get enough protein and trying to drink enough water.  I think I might need to eat more but not sure.  I really hope the scale starts moving in the right direction soon!!

I'm trying to only weigh on Sundays.

Good luck - hope things start moving for both of us!!

Going for a week without losing is really not considered a stall. Now a month or more...that's a different story. How much have you lost?  How much did/do you need to lose?

Sorry just read your signature. You are a lightweight. Look at your loss in terms of percentages. Also many revisions lose a little slower for some reason. Looks like you are doing great to me.

You have lost 28 pounds in less than 2 months? That is HUGE, especially being a revision! I'm surprised that you haven't had a longer period of not losing before now. It may last another week. Or two. If you feel like you need to do anything then up your fluids and exercise. If you aren't already getting in 64 ounces daily already, make sure you are.

My doctor told me to expect a 2-3 pound weekly average weight loss and we didn't start that far apart in weight. For me, he was right (as much as I almost cried when he said it!) and I was at my original goal of 140 in about 5 1/2 months. If he had said that I would be at goal in 5 1/2 months I probably would have felt like dancing though!! You really are doing wonderfully, so just keep doing it.
