Rude lady!

I went in the store the other day and there's this girl at the register I haven't seen in a year. Well I said hey and you know what she said! She said "I thought you were gonna have weight loss surgery!" And I'm down 125 pounds gone! ,I just smiled and said " I did" she's real big herself. How rude of her! And it really hurt my feelings too!

I would just ignore the comment. It took me losing almost 100 lbs before anyone even noticed. Sometimes the more we have to lose the longer it takes for it to be noticeable. 125 pounds is awesome though! Congrats!

Be proud of yourself! that's awesome!  honestly- she may be jealous or self-loathing so she lashed out at you to make herself feel better.  You are doing awesome and putting in the time, hardwork, etc so PLEASE dont let someone else take that away from you!

I agree. I think she was trying to be rude. But I do think some people are just stupid. Like they expect when we have surgery we will instantly be thin.

Sounds like jealousy to me. Ive got a friend who is about 60lbs less than i am now and she hasnt said anything yet but you can tell that she is starting to watch my weight like a hawk lol. She all of a sudden started dieting and got real upset when it wasnt working. But yeah, larger people that you know can start treating you different when they see you losing and they are struggling.On another note I see your a blaney patient. I just had rny with dr.glass but OH wont let me add him so I put blaney :) I love all those guys :)

No one really took notice of my weight loss until about 45-50 pounds and I started out as a relative light-weight.
