Not everyone does two weeks of clear liquids and some surgeon stress getting your protein in from the beginning.

I was on clear liquids while in the hospital which was only one night. On full liquids at home, so protein shakes made with milk.
Three weeks seems like a long time for clear liquids, but yeah, you can do Isopure or Cytomax ready to drink, Syntrax nectar, etc.
Keep in mind that the only brand of protein shots that are all whey isolate are the Yes Whey from Bariatric Advantage. The other brands are mostly or all collagen which is useless.

They are small vials of liquid (about three ounces) with lots of protein (25 to 40 grams or so). I've never tried one but I imagine they don't taste too good. Most brands of them are made from collagen protein which is made from boiling the skin, bones, and hooves of horses, cows and pigs (really). It's an incompletely protein. It's what's in jello. So we don't absorb much of it at all so even though the label says 40 grams, we might only absorb three or four grams. Some brands have a little bit of whey isolate or something else thrown in but not enough to make them worth the money.
The Yes Whey brand are all whey isolate, so we would actually absorb them.
Yes, we still need our liquid. But if you don't like big protein shakes, you might want to drink something else for liquid and get your protein in a small shot.

I love my protein shakes so I was kinda missing them already haha. Ok I feel like a idiot I bought 1 thank god just 1 body fortress shot today and came home to look it up and see it is useless. I will save it for my husband.
