I think someone stole my sleep cause I can't find it.

Prior to surgery I slept less than five hours a night and not well. Since surgery I get a solid seven to eight hours and feel so much better when I get up!

it's funny I've only lost 20 so far & the quality of my sleep has increased 3 fold. I used to wake up sore  but I'm good now. If I feel so good after dropping 20 can't imagine what I'll be like after 50

I had sleep problems before surgery. 50 pounds lost and I still have insomnia on top of the newly diagnosed sleep apnea. I sympathize.

Not sure it applies to you, but if you had sleep apnea before surgery and have a CPAP that puts out constant pressure as opposed to the new APAP's then you may need to have the pressure adjusted.  Mine was blowing my head off at night.

I've lost 40 pounds since my sleep study (and 50 total).  The sleep doctor has not yet reduced the pressure, although he did change the ramp up so that it takes 45 minutes instead of 20. I've kept sleep diaries and basically do everything right (no TV in bedroom, no screen time before bed, no caffeine at all, blah blah blah). I am only wearing the CPAP about 3 hours a night because it annoys me after I've been lying in bed for 30 minutes and I pull it off. I'm aggravated by the whole process.

i am having the same issue. i had surgery on jan 14th. since i have many sleepless nights. my sister told me about something called Melatonin. i got it from Sams Club but they sell it at any pharmacy. its natural with no drugs in it. you disolve it in your mouth (strawberry flavor). they are not bad at all. when i take them i am out within 20 min and sleep ALL night and get up refreshed.
