Basically, anything, but in small portions--like 1/2c to 3/4c per serving, depending on what it is.

Hi,

We must have had surgery around the same time as I was just 4 months on the 11th.  To be honest, I am not tolerating meat well except in chili as in Wendy's or my own and it is lean ground sirloin.  I eat 1/3 to 1/2 cup of protein and 1/4 to 1/3 cup veggie or fruit.

I still use my protein shake as a meal becuz I can get about 50 gms of protein or more in that.

I love boca burgers, eggs, greek yogurt, cottage cheese and ricotta cheese.  I had a grilled chicken breast the other day and man, tho it tasted great, it did not sit well yet.  That is ok.  I eat a lot of beans and love them.

I have lost 70 lbs so far so I am really pleased.  I have about 15 more to go to reach my goal weight.  I may try for 20 lbs more for that bounce back everyone talks about.

How about you... how are you doing and what are you eating?  Basically, I get in my protein of 70-80 gms a day and then have salad, fruit or roasted veggies or roasted garbanzos and my shake.

I have to admit I really struggled last week with being hungry for all the wrong things for the first time since surgery.  I wanted yukky stuff like anything processed and not protein, LOL.  I backed off and went on liquids for a day or two to help me over the cravings.  My dietician says she still has to do that and she is 2 years out from her surgery!

Oh yeah, I walk 5 miles at least 3 x a week now and 2.5 miles 3x a week.  Love that!  Just joined a gym so may go do some water aerobics and senior fitness classes.
