What a difference 2 years makes....

In words....

I've gone from 267lbs to 122 (today's weight). My lowest weight attained was 116lbs. I've had very few complications but worked hard at getting & maintaining my new life. Physical & mental work are part of what makes this NOT the easy way out! For the most part, I've followed the general guidelines for eating and never slacked on my supplementation. After the inital fatigue from surgery, I started walking in 2011 and progressed that to running - - all the way to formal training to compete in my first Half marathon in December 2012. I've run another Half this past March, scheduled to run another in June, and doing my first full marathon in October. My husband & I will be renewing our vows this November...... 5 years ago, I wore a size 22 wedding dress - - this one will be a J Crew size 4 petite!!!!

I've learned so much over the past years, about myself and about how I want my future to be. I've continued to grieve the loss of time, tried to forgive myself for how much of a disservice I did myself in staying obese, and I now feel grateful for making this choice to reclaim my life. It feels right for me.

I am SO amazed at how much you have accomplished physically, both in terms of your weight and your running!  I have to say that I think you look MUCH healthier (and dare i say, therefore prettier) in your latest pic than in the "lowest weight" photo.

You look gorgeous!  I cannot believe that this is even the same person after seeing the pictures!  You have done an amazing job and to run marathons is such an accomplishment.  You made a statement that gave me pause and how true about trying to forgive ourselves for getting obese.

Thank you for sharing!  Jane
