What is your favorite thing to eat after gastric bypass?

My fave is mixed green salad (mostly spinach) with sliced strawberries and mandarin orange slices. Add grilled chicken (or a 4 pack of Chick fil la nuggets) and I am a happy camper. The fruit makes the salad taste so yummy and eliminates the need for dressing (at least for me it does). I also love grilled salmon with a low cal/low sugar asian/teriyaki sauce and steamed veggies. And while I'm at it...I love watermelon and strawberries and steamed green beans and oh...brussel sprouts steamed and then grilled a bit to get them a little browned! I loved veggies before but post gastric I absolutely adore them even more. I eat alot of grilled or steamed fish too. Chicken is not my favorite thing and I don't eat it often, but ground turkey is a new fave for me. Hope you find lots of great recipes. There are a great many resources out there for you to tap into. Good luck!

Thank you everyone! I keep reading about beef jerky and almost bought some this weekend but chickened out. I am not so sure about eating meat that is dried up. HAHA

Thanks again I will be working on incorporating some of these items in my recipe list.
