Discouraged
How much do you need to lose altogether? People lose an average of about half their excess weight by the time they are six months post op.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
Well you should be discouraged….if you were an elephant, a whale, or were 8 feet tall and weighed over 700 pounds. But I bet you are a normal human and the weight you lost is probably pretty normal. Believe it or not weight loss, in my opinion, in this process is a byproduct. What the real goal should be is to learn how to eat the correct way we all should have been eating all our lives. At the end if you lose 200 pounds but still have bad habits and still love to eat carbs and things you should not eat. Cheated all during the process. Well you may have lost weight, but guess what, you are going to get it all back.
So stop thinking so much about the amount of weight you lose or how fast and concentrate on eating protein first, chew, weigh and measure and log everything you eat all the time not just when you feel like it. Take all your supplements and drink 60 minutes after a meal. You know the plan.
Then what you are doing is really worth something. Then when the weight comes off, and it will, you will have eating habits in place that will last you the rest of you thin life. It is not magic and it takes work, but you can do it. You are doing just fine so far and don’t compare yourself to anyone else. We all lose at different rates. As long as you are strict with yourself and plan, you will be the winner. Good luck to you.

Following the diet, yes it is still a diet, is good but you need to exercise to burn the calories. If you are losing slower it is not all bad. When you get to your goal you will have grown into the changes that you want to for the rest of your life. It should be easier to maintain in the long run. It is about your changes and how you balance your food intake with movement, it isn't just about your weight and how fast you are losing.
