PCP visit/labs just over 9 months out...elevated liver enzymes...REALLY elevated! :/ and...
I went to my PCP today to follow up on labs drawn last week. All were good, "normal" by lab value standards, except for my liver enzymes. My AST and ALT went up from 3 months ago...
3/13/13 6/78/13
AST-22 AST-121
ALT-38 ALT-183
Today I had repeat labs, with a few more added. The doctor's nurse is scheduling an ultrasound of my liver. Prayers and/or good vibes sent my way would be appreciated.
Good news is that my diagnosis of "Diabetes" is now changed to "IFG (impaired fasting glucose)" and my diagnosis of "Obesity" is changed to "Overweight". I've been taken off of one blood pressure med and my Prilosec! So, all in all, I am still pretty happy with how things are going.
I went to my daughter's national dance competition in northern Ohio. While there, we visited Cedar Point. For the first time in my daughter's life, we were able to ride rollercoasters together!! I fit in the seats, and we had a blast! I had forgotten how much I loved rides. We rode all but the newest one and went back to the hotel totally worn out! The day of her competition, another dance family were staying at the Great Wolf Lodge and left us their armbands to enjoy the water park. Again, it was sooo fun! I was able to ride on the water slides WITH my daughter, as we were under the weight limit (combined weights) and I was able to climb the stairs and/or rope obstacle course to the slide entrances.
This is truly like a new life for me...for my family! Soon we are going to King's Island and I am planning to ride all the rides that I can...with my daughter and her friends!
Oh, my daughter competed with 5 girls in her division. She came in first in her division and placed 7th overall! So proud of her!
Summer is becoming my favorite time of year. I NEVER would have said that in the past. In fact, I hated going out in the heat prior to surgery. Funny how things change. :)
