BMI 54
Absolutely! Mine was almost 57. Some surgeons (not all, but some) prefer to do the surgery open rather than laparoscopic on people above a certain BMI, but even then it usually depends on where you carry your weight (it is more likely that they will want to do open if you carry most of the weight in your belly (or if you have certain medical conditions/history)). Mine was open.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I hope it will be RNY, I do carry alot of my weight in my belly but I can look down and see my belly. I carry alot of my weight everytwhere also. I have had no other surgeries so there will be no scare tissue. Maybe if I lose a few pounds it will help, do you have any suggestions what I can eat or drink even protein skakes to try. Thanks
I like Syntrax Nectar. They have fruit flavors you can mix with water, or sweet flavors you can mix with milk. I think it's easier to work your way into it by replacing one meal a day with a shake, then once you get used to it, replace another. I had to have snacks in between, though. I think this helped me transition to my preop liquid diet more easily than others.

. Do u think its not enough or too much?
