Compression garments
I had a velcro wrap type of support for sleeping and it made for less pain when turning or getting out of bed. It isn't absolutely necessary but I felt like I got more rest wearing it. When I had other abdominal surgeries the doctor didn't want me to pull on a garment so the velcro was a better solution.

I wore a compression shirt (long sleeved, crew neck) my first week home to remind myself to suck my stomach in as I walked and not let it all hang out. :) But since then, I have not worn them.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
Some surgeons give patients a binder to wear after surgery (although it is much more common after open surgery than lap surgery), but most don't. Same thing with plastic surgery. Some surgeon have patients use abdominal binders after panniculectomies and/or tummy tucks and some do not. (They also have compression garments for the arms following brachioplasty and for breast lifts.)
