OH I know--it is SUCH  big deal to not have pain with each step! PF was the MAIN reason I finally decided to have wls.  I feel so blessed that it helped this painful condition!!

I get my surgery on Monday and I can feel your pain that you use to have.  Apparently (according to my foot specialist) I have the world's largest heal spur he has ever seen in his 30 year career.  I am now hopeful that my pain will be minimized with WLS. Thanks for sharing and giving others hope as well.    Michelle

Bless your heart! Just give it some time and you will feel relief. It was so funny because right after my RNY-I was walking laps around the nurses' station at the hospital and I kept telling my hubby how great my foot felt.  There was no pain at all.  A day or two later-the pain is there.  It had been the morphine that was keeping me pain-free-lol!  But thankfully-the pain is GONE for real now!!!  I started to feel relief at the 40 pound mark.

Good luck and I hope you get some relief soon!!

YAY FOR YOU!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I am so excited to hear this. I was sleeved June 19th and part of the reason is I had already had a knee replaced and Achilles tendon release surgery this past February. I don't want to have anymore surgery but the bone spurs are awful.

I know-it is just miserable!! Try the Dansko shoes but you may want to wait to buy them because your weight is changing rapidly. I probably should've waited to buy mine but they just felt so comfy when I tried them on-I couldn't resist-lol! Some have said their shoe size changes after losing all of their excess wieght.

I started to REALLY feel relief around the 40 pound mark.  When I was down 20 or 25 pounds-I kept feeling frustrated that my foot was still hurting. Just give it some time. I had a SUPER stubborn case of PF so if I can get relief-I bet you will too!!

Good luck!!
