It's not who you are that holds you back...
It's who you THINK your NOT!

Just briefly... I  never recommend it to anyone.  They have to do their own research and decide if it is for them or not.  I thought about it for several years and even canceled out once but two years later I realized that I couldn't lose it without help.  I've never had anyone tell me it was the easy way out but if they did I would ignore it.  The education on nutrition is seriously lacking in this country.  Obesity is going to get worse before it gets better.

In my case, all my co-morbidities were getting worse and I was taking more and more meds.  My internal voice kept saying that if there is a surgery that will fix it then why not.  I would be stupid not to do it.  So I think most of the critics are ignorant of the life threatening issues.  They need to be in our shoes before they criticize.

Yea, I've heard the same thing too....all you have to do is stop eating, etc. but obviously people with that mindset don't understand what we go through, or sit still long enough with their mouth shut to figure it out.

This was definitely not the easy way out....we will be monitored the rest of our lives.

Usually people that pick on things usually have insecurities theirselves and they just transpose them onto others.

You just wanted to to the best you could for yourself by taking personal responsibility for your health and you know what you are capable of or not capable of.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, and I am proud of you that you did your very best for yourself, and you are right....It's nobody's business!!!!!!

The losing might have been easy (compared to diets I had been on for years and years), but maintaining is not!

I am hoping to have my surgery soon not sure when. I haven't told anyone and I will only tell people that actually will understand why I did it.I just started the process and some of the things we have to change may seem minor to some people but to me it can be frustrating. Just not being able to drink water with dinner. That sounds easy but when it's 104 degrees out it's is hard not to drink a ton of water at one time. People seem to be negative because they have to look in the mirror and see what they are not doing about their lives. I will be honest I was on WW. for a few times in my life dropped a lot of weight to gain it back plus. I did think the surgery was easy till I went to see the surgeon. All of you when you show pictures of yourselves and how healthy you look not just thin but healthy. You have really inspired me.Being healthy isn't easy it is work.
