1 year post op
So today is my anniversary!!! A year ago I was 218lbs and today I am 143lbs. I always thought people lost at least 100lbs by the time they reached their anniversary but I'm proof that this is not true. I'm happy with my 75lb loss and I'll continue to work towards my goal. I'd include a pic but I don't know how to do it.
Could the 75 versus 100 loss have something to do with being what is called "a lightweight" to begin with? If you look at your loss in a different mathematical angle (percentage lost or BMI figures), it probably would be considered super duper, A+, and all that. Glad you are happy nonetheless. PS: Whenever I can bribe one of my daughters into helping me figure out before/after pics postings, I'll do the same. Until then...
Thank you all. Yes, you're right, I wasn't as heavy as some. I'm also not that tall either, I'm only 5'2. My cousin came over last night with a few presents and 2 pictures of me the day of surgery. Holy crap, I had no neck! It's crazy because I became fat about 10 years ago. I never saw myself as big as I was. When I would see pictures of myself it was a real eye opener. I didn't understand who I was looking at, as if it was some sort of cruel joke that no one filled me in on.
