No. I saw my bariatric surgery, my PCP for a physical a few days before surgery, and my psychiatrist for my psych eval.

I saw a cardiologist for a cardiac clearance, the surgeon who fixed my hiatal hernia, and had a bunch of labs done.

Surgeon and PCP were my only doctors involved. I was a self-pay so didn't go through the same channels as those with insurance usually go through.

I saw TWO RNY surgeons (to decide who I wanted to do the surgery), but other than that, I just saw my PCP and the Psychologist.

I saw my PCP, surgeon, psychologist and OB-Gyn because I needed my Pap smear before surgeon would give me the ok.

I had to see PCP for 7 months of visits, surgeon a few times, Cardio for stress test, Radiology for barium study and other test, lots of lab work, Nutritionist, Sleep study which sent me to ENT to get results, and Psychologist. Also I had to get a letter from another surgeon who had removed my gallbladder.

I have to see a Cardiologist, OBGYN, PCP, NUT for 6 months, sleep study and psych eval. And surgeon of course! I am just now setting up these appointments! TONS OF WORK ahead of me!!
