I don't know for sure but I would think that's possible. I think if people are very active, they often need more protein.

A year ago my vitamin D was a 2. Yes, a 2. I take 10,000 a day and finally have it up to a 32. I can't imagine how much I'd have to take to get it up to 80. My lab reports say that normal is between 30-60 and now that I'm 32, it's in the normal range according to the scale my doctor goes by. When I search for normal ranges of vitamin D, it varies from 30-60, 40-70, 50-80 with 80 being the highest within optimal normal range. The Linus Pauling Institute has the highest recommendation for 80 being normal of any literature I've found online regarding vitamin D.
My bariatric surgeon has written a rx for me for a drop that I haven't been able to fund thus far. I will call some more pharmacies before my post-op appt on Wednesday to see what is available in case I need to have the script changed to something that is available. What is the most common vitamin D supplement for RNY patients?
I don't know what is most common. Many of us here use the 50,000 IU D3 capsules from vitalady.com.
I take 50,000 IU D3 three times a week to maintain a level around 100.
