Chewing Gum After Surgery

DH goes though a 1/2 pack of gum a day...No problems!!  Surgeon wouldn't let him chew it the day after surgery and he went though a little withdraw!!

I also heard that it is the standard = no gum post op. If the gum, by any chance, gets swallowed and stuck; they will have to unstick it. I never heard of it happening to anyone, but they say it is not a pleasant fix-it procedure.

When I am at work I chew at least a pack a day.

We will see how it goes.
