I have been suffering from severe gas pains all week. I have taken everything I can to get rid of it and nothing is helping me. I am in severe pain. I can not breathe, move or do anything without being in severe pain. I have tried my gas medicine, my protonix, acid reducer and everything else. I just don't know what to do anymore. I just called my doctors emergnancy line..... But I dont know what else to do..... What could be wrong??? I took some tylenol with codine and it took some of the gas pain away but not all......

Are you positive that they are, in fact, gas pains? Do you have any other symptoms such as chills, fever, etc? Have you been having bowel movements?

Oh yes I have had these before but never this long lasting. No other symptoms just severe pain..... I have been having regular bowel movements. I don't know what could be wrong. Its nothing I am eating thats causing it cause I am eating the same things that never caused me this.....

Ah, ok. I'm glad that you're "regular" and that you're not having any other symptoms. I would have been concerned with a blockage, intestinal strangulation, and that type of thing...but if this has happened before and your surgeon/physician is aware of the situation...

What did the emergency service tell you?

I'm sorry, I have no idea why'd you be experiencing this. You're not lactose intolerant, are you?

Try some of the dissolvable Gas-X strips ? They worked for me

You can be constipated - while having regular BM. You may have all backed up and you body may need as lot of pressure to move things.

I would try first try to get clean out, using mag citrate.

I hope you got a call back from your surgeon. He/she need to see you. It could be something like a kink or blockage which would still allow you to poop.

The pain not letting go for an entire week doesn't sound like "just gas".
