This is a distinctly female post!
Hi ladies,
Sorry for the TMI but my monthly friend has always come every 28 days. Well I am 2 days late. And...sexually active. I am assuming my body is just out of whack, being 28 days post op. A friend from my support group said her first period after surgery was late. Is this normal? Did it happen to you? Did it forever affect your regularity or just initially? Thanks for any advice!

If I remember correctly mine came just a day after surgery, but then skipped a month and returned. As I've lost weight mine has been on time and has even become lighter.
I did not have a period for three months after surgery. Then they were irregular for the first year or so.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
I'M A BOY AND I SNUCK INTO THIS POST!!!
Sorry. I couldn't help but chime in.
I don't know the details, but my Sis-In-Law did mention, before I had my surgery, that her monthly visitor was very infrequent and undependable for months following surgery.
Obviously, everyone is different....but for some reason that stuck with me, so I thought I'd throw it out there, if it helps.

I came on the day after surgery and it lasted 7 days. So imagine dealing with my visitor and pain at the same time. Now my visitor is now back on track. It was wacky for a few months though.
