What's on the menu today, RNY-ers?
Hi all! Day 3 of my conference is halfway over and in so thankful how well it's going! I am going to continue with this daily post when possible, because I love your responses and I love getting menu ideas and comparing my diets to yours. So far it seems like you're into it too :)
Please feel free to post what's on YOUR menu below :)

Breakfast: 2 oz scrambled eggs and 2 slices of bacon (buffet breakfast)
Lunch: 3 shrimp, 1 olive, 1 oz of chicken piccata that I scraped the cream off of
Dinner: TBD. It's a formal, seated dinner so I will just eat the protein.
Im only at 335 calories and 33g of protein so I may have a Premier Protein shake that I brought with me to up my protein :)
Hope you're all having a great day!

Snack - protein bar
Lunch - apple slices with almond butter (this is my new favorite thing to eat)

Dinner - protein shake (I couldn't think of anything I felt like fixing for dinner, plus my lunch and my afternoon snack were pretty low in protein)
Snack - probably Greek yogurt

Awwww thank you! It's not been hard in the sense that I eat a few ounces of food and am comfortable. What is hard is the head hunger. People's plates are piled SO high!! And let's be honest, that would have been me 5 weeks ago :) I don't even remember what it feels like to be full-the kind of full where you can't even stand up off the couch, but that used to be how I felt after dinner! Now I feel like I eat to live as supposed to living to eat. But it's a weird transition! I'm thoroughly enjoying it however. You will also do great on your business trip! If I were on liquids it would be significantly harder but there is always protein!
Hey DcGirl!!!
I love your posts! I've been feeling down since late last night so this post perked me up!

So far today total Calories 540, Protein 60 grams, Carbs 23 grams, Fat 22 grams
Vits and water are all good!
Hi Kenyatta :) Sorry you are feeling down :( Jan is so "winter blah". I'm in Anaheim for this conference and I haven't stepped outside yet today. And apparently it's 77 degrees. That makes me feel down lol. You certainly shouldn't feel down about your menu plan. You're eating so healthily and amazingly. I'm always impressed and I hope my foods and quantities mirror yours at a year out. I know this is working and I know I'm losing weight (hell I wore pants today that haven't fit in months!) but the fact that I can fit in 4 ounces of foods at a month and don't feel full (but feel comfortable and stop eating from willpower) continued to make me nervous. I swear my doc left me a giant stomach! Lol
I hope you have a better evening than day!
Emily
Awww... thank you DcGirl!!!
I'm trying!
That's great you are able to get that much food in. I'm a little over a year out and I should be eating more calories and protein but my pouch won't allow me to. My pouch seems like it is super small. Hard to snack through out the day because of my work schedule. I really don't want to rely on protein shakes to get my protein in. My eating level is sometimes nonexistent. I just been feeling blah about eating.
