Hola OH friends!  I am in Mexico City…it’s a beautiful, sunny, 75 degree day…and I am in a windowless room doing training :)     Regardless, it’s only mid-day but I am pretty damn proud of my food choices so far.  Although I want tacos and flautas and all kinds of things that include tortillas, I am committed to low carb so here is my day so far:

Time Since Surgery: 11 weeks and one day   B: Café con leche (I had a splash of skim milk, not cream), made-to-order omelette with jalapeño, onion, cheese (ate a little more than half of it)

L: Everyone placed an order off of a few menus.  I chose a tuna salad with onion, avocado, olives, tomatoes and tuna with dressing on the side.  I figure I can eat the tuna and some of the avocado and olives.

D: TBD.  I think we are going to a Mexican place so I will get a molcajete, which is grilled chicken and veggies in a big stone bowl (like a pestle and mortar kind of bowl).

E: Goal is to use the hotel gym tonight.  I am just not a morning person, to wake up at 6 am and get it in.

V: Did my multi, my vitamin D and my “petite” calciums this morning.  Just have to remember them tonight!

W: Bottled only!!!!  I am on my second 600 ml bottle.  No idea what that is in ounces LOL.

What’s on your menu today?  EM

P.S. I am on MyFitnessPal as eawilson21

It sounds great that you are in 75 degrees. It is about 31 here today.Which is not bad.

B:Eggs and one piece of bacon then I had to take my son to the ortho doctor and we had to wait for a hour.So needless to say my son was not so pleasant. I am still upset about the way he behaved. Not that it was bad but I hate when people are moody. I always feel I have to make everyone happy. But I will feel better in a bit.I won't eat something because I am upset.Gotta love teenagers.

S:Protein bar

L:Refried beans with some cheese and some avocado and salsa

S:Nothing ate lunch late

D:Stuffed pepper with turkey

So jealous of you down there!  It started out at 4 degrees this morning; currently it's 26 but feels colder.  I hope this snow melts before spring!  I've had food on the brain today but I have abstained.  I'm pushing to stay on my program so here goes:

B  Isopure Protein drink - grape of course

L  3 oz of lean ham along with green beans

S  Tbl of Pimento cheese on 3 saltines

D  Shrimp coctail and spinach

S  I'll probably have some popcorn

I'm almost finished with my water and will complete my vitamins later.

Have fun in Mexico for all of us!

B: Dannon light and fit Greek yogurt, Key Lime Pie

  S: Premier Protein Chocolate shake

L: 1/2 Quest protein bar, double choc. chunk

  S: 1 part-skim Mozzarella cheese stick

D: 1/2 hamburger patty( 2 oz 90% lean ) on 1/2 an Oopsie hamburger bun, and  1/4 cup baby Bella mushrooms-so delish

E: 30 minutes on elliptical at level 5 ( had a lot to do, had to exercise quickly!! )

V: I got behind on calcium today, sadly. The stuff I normally buy wasn't available, and the replacement calcium I bought made me nauseated. Blech. :(  Luckily, The Vitamin Shoppe said I could return it for store credit. Yay!

  W: 70 oz

ps OT, but interesting. I have a molcajete that is over 50 years old. It was my mother's. She got it as a wedding gift from my paternal grandmother. She used it to grind seasonings almost every day for 40 years. It passed to me when she passed away. My sister has my grandmother's, which is probably 80 years old. Molcajete is not a word I see often! I actually have wonderful childhood memories of helping both my mom and my grandma in the kitchen and grinding stuff up in the molcajetes was one of my favorite things to do.

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

I love that your mom ground her own seasoning!!! How cool is that?! What a great thing to pass to the next generation :)
