My doctor prescribe Opurity vitamins for me and I only take one a day.  I also use Opurity Calcium Nitrate.

I take them and it works for me. The fewer pills the better!

My only concern would be - could we absorb enough taking it only once a day??  Wonder if Kelly has any insight???

My surgeon says there is no multi or calcium that can be taken and absorbed sufficiently to have only one per day. Could he be wrong? Sure. But I'm always going to err on the side of caution where my health is concerned.

Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

With calcium that's true, since people can only absorb about 500 mg at a time and we need 1500 to 2000 mg.  With a multi, it's less clear.  You might be able to absorb it all at once but it might be better absorbed in two separate doses.

I tried Opurity and cannot for the life of me gag it down.  The chewable tastes horrible.

The ASMBS says we need 200% of the USRDA, so you would still need to take two a day in order to meet that requirement.

I don't understand why the places that sell the products that say " all you need is one pill" don't know all the facts, wouldn't you think there was research involved. I emiled my Diietition just to see what she say's.

It's because they are more concerned about selling products than about your health.  They know that people would love to only have to take a multi once a day or to only take four chewable pills a day or something like that.  So they say that's all you need and people that don't do their own research about their health  needs and that don't read labels carefully are fooled by it and then the company makes lots of money.
